Awana is one of the fastest growing youth organizations in the world.  Awana Clubs International sponsors clubs in over 15,600 churches in 110 countries and 30 languages. 

Awana is fun with a purpose – to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

It is centered on a weekly club night, consisting of 3 main parts.  Game Time is packed with exciting team games played on the Awana Circle. Handbook Time is a small group time lead by trained adults and is focused on learning and applying God’s Word for daily living.  Large Group Time includes worship, a Bible message and award recognition.

Special activities include parties, games and event nights.

Zwingli United Church of Christ seeks to partner with parents through Awana to help raise kids with a lasting faith in Jesus Christ. We currently offer three Awana clubs for children (PK – 6th grade) and a Junior Leader program for teens that wish to continue in Awana. Carefully tailored curriculum for each age group takes children on an exciting journey through the Bible.

AWANA is held on Thursday nights 6:30 – 8:00PM, September to April. 

The registration fee helps cover the cost of handbooks, uniforms and awards. After the completion of the club entrance booklet, a clubber will receive their uniform and handbook. Cubbies wear a blue vest, Sparks wear a red vest and T&T clubbers wear a green and white jersey for 3rd through 6th grade.

Cubbies is our club for preschoolers, ages 3-5.  (Cubbies must be 3 by Sept. 1st and be potty-trained)  This club is built on two premises:  young children should receive spiritual training and the home is the primary place for spiritual training.

Games, puppets, crafts, awards and plenty of other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.  Caring, committed leaders nurture your children through Bible-centered handbooks to help them begin to understand key basic truths about God, Jesus, salvation and the Bible.

Sparks is our Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade.  The aim of this club is to take children a step deeper into God’s Word while giving them many opportunities to hear the Gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.  Sparks combines learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for all kids.  Each week the children play age appropriate games on the Awana circle, hear a Bible message and work with their leaders in their handbooks to memorize God’s word.  The Sparks curriculum consists of three handbooks.  Each one communicates spiritual truths through memory verses, crafts, activities and review. 

T&T reflects the passion of Awana to teach third through sixth grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.

The T&T is divided into two groups:  the Ultimate Adventure for 3rd and 4th graders and the Ultimate Challenge for 5th and 6th graders.  T&T clubbers work through two Bible-centered handbooks in each group which teach them life’s ultimate adventure is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and ultimately challenges them to reach out and serve others.  Weekly gatherings expose children to the Gospel message, Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, team-oriented games and tons of fun.
